Deleting your Music Pocket account

1. Deleting your account from the application

Open Music Pocket and sign in to your account.

Go to your profile and open the settings.

Tap "Delete account" and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and signs you out on every device.

2. Deleting your account without the application

If you have uninstalled the application or can no longer sign in, write to musicpocket@estroverso.com.

Send the request from the e-mail address you signed up with, using "Account deletion" as the subject: this is how we check that the request comes from the account holder.

If you no longer have access to that address, write to us anyway and include your nickname: we will ask you for a few more details to verify your identity.

We act on the request within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted

Along with the account we remove:

The account and its sign-in credentials, together with your nickname, e-mail address and country.

Your profile picture and cover image.

Your library: saved artists and albums, ratings, track notes and favourites.

Your connections with other people: who you follow, who follows you and any pending requests.

The comments you wrote, the likes you left on other people's comments and the reports you sent.

Open sessions on every device and the tokens used for push notifications.

A comment that already has replies does not disappear entirely: an empty placeholder is left behind, without the text and without your name, so that replies written by other people still make sense.

4. What is left

Once the account is deleted, nothing that can be traced back to you remains in the application.

Backup copies of our systems are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days: until then the data may survive there, without being reachable from the application or used in any way.

The only things that remain are data we are required by law to keep, and aggregate statistics, which cannot be traced back to an individual.

5. Timing

From the application: immediate.

On request by e-mail: within 30 days of verifying your identity.

6. Please note

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone: the data cannot be recovered, and to use Music Pocket again you will need to create a new account.
